Lake Winnisquam is in Meredith, Laconia, Sanbornton, Belmont, and Tilton, New Hampshire. For a big-city trip, Concord is around 30 miles away.

The Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is around 50 miles away, and the Lakes Region General Hospital isn't far from the area. For international travel, the Portland International Jetport is under 110 miles away.

Measuring an impressive 4,214 acres and with a max depth of 173 feet, Lake Winnisquam has plenty of room for more residents without feeling cramped.

Popular activities include boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and taking in the views. Many homes have docks, but there are several boat ramps and public access points along the lake.

Anglers can find rainbow trout, landlocked salmon, lake trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, eastern chain pickerel, brown bullhead, white perch, black crappie, bluegill, rock bass, burbot, and American eel.

The lake has multiple islands, including Loon Island, Three Islands, Pot Island, Hog Island, and Mohawk Island. There are also two public beaches along the lakeshore at Ahern State Park and Bartlett Beach.
