McDonald Lake is a 54-acre lake located in the private Shores of Lake McDonald neighborhood in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Stillwater is one of the oldest towns in Minnesota. It is often labeled as the birthplace of the state because the state’s first territorial convention was held here in 1848.
