Life on the Water

Lily Lake is 44 acres in size with a maximum depth of 51 feet. The lake contains just over one mile of shoreline, offering plenty of space for recreation and relaxation.

Popular activities include kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and taking in the views. A public access point is on the southeastern side of the water.

Anglers can find black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, brown bullhead, green sunfish, hybrid sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, sauger, walleye, yellow perch, bowfin, white sucker, and golden shiner.

Finally, for outdoor recreation and scenic nature, check out Minnehaha Park. This is the oldest park in Minneapolis and boasts 193 acres, numerous scenic trails, limestone bluffs, a 53-foot waterfall, picnic pavilions, bike rentals, and an off-leash dog park.
