Staples Lake - Crystal Lake

Staples Lake is a 340-acre lake located in Polk, Barron Counties. It has a maximum depth of 17 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. This lake is located in the northwest region of Wisconsin.

Life on the Water

Fish found in this lake include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. The lake's water clarity is relatively low. Spend the day rowing a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard around the lake to get a vigorous workout. For your convenience, there is a boat launch at the north end of the lake.

Within 45 minutes of Staples Lake, there are a variety of beautiful hiking trails, parks, and other attractions. For entertainment, you can explore the Franconia Sculpture Park, Wilke Glen and Cascade Falls, or FAWN-DOE-ROSA Wildlife Educational Park. Everybody can enjoy the activities in this lake area!
