Pier Lake

Located in Oneida County, Wisconsin

This small lake is set like a jewel in the middle of the Northwoods territory of Wisconsin. Pier Lake is 87 acres with a maximum depth of 23 feet, making it the perfect size for rest and relaxation. Three hours from Green Bay and four hours and 15 minutes from Milwaukee.

Fishing and Boating

The Rainbow Flowage public boat landing is not directly available on Pier Lake, but the small channel on the south end of Rainbow Flowage connects the two lakes. Anglers can find panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike in this medium-sized lake.

Be sure to observe the boating and fishing ordinances found on the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website. Most water sports and activities are allowed with some regulations on no-wake hours, water-skiing regulations, etc.

With various affordable hotels and amazing restaurants like The Boathouse and the Thirsty Whale, this center of regional tourism is the perfect place for a solar retreat or a family vacation.

Minocqua offers some of the best tourist attractions in the county. The surrounding countryside offers scenic hikes featuring waterfalls, birdwatching, and some of the most beautiful autumn leaves in the United States. In town, Wildwood Wildlife Park and Nature Center is the perfect activity for the kids, and Northern Waters Distillery can provide parents with a relaxing day enjoying the best brews northern Wisconsin has to offer.

Pier Lake is conveniently located 20 minutes away from Dolhun Field Airpark WI36 for private flights and Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport (31 minutes) for commercial flights.

The nearest hospital to help you with all of your medical needs is Aspirus Eagle River Hospital, a 30-minute drive from the lake.
