Sand Lake is a 949-acre lake located in Sawyer County. It has a maximum depth of 50 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. This lake is located in the northwest region of Wisconsin.

Life on the Water

Fish found in this lake include musky, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. The lake's water clarity is low. Spend the day rowing a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard around the lake to get a vigorous workout. For your convenience, there is a boat launch at the east end of the lake.

Within 30 minutes of Sand Lake, there are a variety of beautiful hiking trails, parks, and other attractions. For entertainment, you can explore Wilderness Walk Zoo, Stone Lake Wetland Park, or Joyful Journey Alpacas. Everybody can enjoy the activities in this lake area!
