About 45 miles from the lake is the 24-hour Aspirus Eagle River Hospital, and about 50 miles from the lake is the Park Falls Municipal Airport. The lake is a little further out from town but near all necessities.

For a day trip, visit Three Lakes Winery, about an hour and 15-minute drive from the lake. A great selection of wine and complimentary wine tastings!
