Ward Lake

Ward Lake is located on the southeastern edge of Olympia, Washington's state capital.

The lake is quaint, situated just over three miles from Olympia Regional Airport and under five miles from Providence St. Peter Hospital. The Ward Lake area features full K-12 public education and several private education options.

Outdoor Activities

Anglers can head to Ward Lake Park to launch their boats or fish from the docks. Rainbow trout, kokanee, largemouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, and crappie can be landed here.

Kettle View Park is less than a mile from Ward Lake. This 4.8-acre green space features a playground, tennis court, quarter-mile paved loop trail, 1.8-acre playing field, restrooms, and picnic shelters.

Tumwater Valley Golf Club is just over two miles from the Ward Lake area. This gorgeous course features 20 holes of impeccable golf for players of all skill levels.

Ward Lake is located within the city limits of Olympia. Olympia is the site of the Washington State Capitol, as well as family-friendly attractions such as the award-winning Hands On Children’s Museum.

The city is also the home of dozens of green spaces and city parks, including Percival Landing next to the waterfront. The city also hosts an eclectic list of dining and shopping options to keep visitors going throughout the day.
