Westhaven Cove is located at the entrance of Grays Harbor from the North Atlantic Ocean. It is part of Westport, a charming beach town that houses Washington’s tallest lighthouse.

There are several places around town to dine, shop, or stay the night. Aberdeen is 25 miles and about a half-hour drive from Westhaven. There you will find Harbor Regional Health along with many retail stores and restaurants.

The Tacoma-Seattle International Airport is just over two hours away for convenient travel.

Life on the Coast

Westport is known for its picture-perfect beaches and all of the activities that come with it. Surfers from all over the nation come to surf the pristine beaches. The waters have three wave breaks so surfers of any skill level can participate.

On the shore, you may make a lucky find of a Westport “wild float.” The thick glass balls are used by Japanese fishermen to keep their lines afloat. The “truly wild” floats come from the coast of Japan. The ones that are dumped out in the water are engraved so you know the difference.

Westhaven Cove is lined by marinas, charter boats, and touring services. Take a boat out to experience some of the best salmon fishing around. The Westport Fishing Derby is an event that excites the whole town.
