Lake Ketchum

Located Along the Coast of Skagit Bay

Lake Ketchum is two miles north of the City of Stanwood in the state of Washington. It is 25.5 acres in size with an average depth of 12 feet. It sits along the edge of Skagit Bay, which flows into the Puget Sound inlet.

Not far from Lake Ketchum's eastern border are the rolling hills and forests of the beautiful North Cascades National Park.

Fun on the Lake

On Lake Ketchum, there is plenty of fun to be had! Boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddling are all enjoyed on the lake. Due to the lake's smaller size, no gasoline-powered motors are allowed. This helps to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for lake residents. There is also a boat launch.

You can also travel to Skagit Bay's waters and enjoy the recreational opportunities of Puget Sound. In the bay, residents mainly enjoy boating and fishing.

Off the Lake

Spanning more than 500,000 acres with plenty of unique habitats to explore, you are sure to find your next adventure here. Like many of the parks in Washington, you can enjoy hiking, camping, biking, mountain climbing, boatings, and so much more in the North Cascades.

You can find similar recreational opportunities at the adjoining Okanogan Wenatchee National Forest. The forest encompasses over 4 million acres along the east slopes of the Cascade Range in Washington. You can enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, off-roading, and winter activities such as cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowmobiling.
