Lake Holm

Located in the Mountains

Lake Holm is a lovely, 19-acre lake located in King County, Washington. It is also known as Nielsen Lake and is midway between Auburn and Black Diamond. To the west of Lake Holm is the largely trafficked Puget Sound region. This lake is also within driving distance of Seattle, which sits under 40 minutes to the northwest.

Lake Recreation

Lake Holm is a hobbyist anglers dream! The primary fishing opportunities are Rainbow Trout and Largemouth Bass. The Rainbow Trout is stocked periodically to help maintain a healthy fishery.

A boat ramp, limited parking, and pit toilet are available at a small Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife access area at the lake's south end off SE Lake Holm Road. A local ordinance prohibits internal combustion motors.

Enjoy the Outdoors

If you enjoy trekking around in the great outdoors, this lake might be the right one for you! Lake Holm sits on the outskirts of the massive Okanogan Wenatchee National Forest. It is also just a few miles north of the highly trafficked Mount Rainier National Park.

Both of these parks cover over 4 million acres of land in the state of Washington. Within the parks, you can enjoy hiking, camping, mountain climbing, fishing, and more!
