One Lake of Many

The best thing about the location of Collins Lake is its proximity to other lakes. There are dozens of other lakes varying in sizes in all directions from Collins Lake.

Collins Lake is small in size but still provides plenty to its guests thanks to its location. Not only is it nearby plenty of other lakes, but it is also near port cities, mountain ranges, and bays.

The lake and subsequent other lakes are west of Seattle and Tacoma. Collins Lake is almost a direct shot west of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Nearby Activities

The lake is southeast of the port city of Dewatto, which offers lake-goers plenty to do along the water and land.

The Port of Dewatto overlooks the Olympic Peninsula and includes backdrops such as an evergreen forest. The port offers a campground for its visitors that is open from April through September. There is also a creek near the campground.

Dewatto also offers the residents and guests of Collins Lake with a variety of local and regional restaurants. These include Hoodsport Pizzeria, Nina’s Lake Cushman Cafe, and Skipper Johns.

The largest lake near Collins Lake is Cushman Lake, located to the west on the Olympic Peninsula. This lake, comprising over 4,000 acres, provides outdoor activities for all the lakes surrounding it, including Collins Lake.

Activities on the lake include kayaking, fishing, camping, jet skiing, and much more. A variety of boats are allowed onto the water.

A Lake for All

Despite its size, Collins Lake provides its residents and guests with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Thanks to towns such as Dewatto and lakes such as Cushman Lake, all visitors can find something that interests them.
