Seattle without the Hassle

The Mirror Lake area is close to several hospitals and urgent care facilities, including those in the Seattle and Tacoma areas. Mirror Lake is less than ten miles from the Auburn Municipal Airport and just over 15 miles from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The Mirror Lake area offers full K-12 public and private education options. Mirror Lake is also less than a half-hour from Seattle University and the University of Washington School of Medicine.

The Mirror Lake Area features dozens of local dining options including bars and cafes, as well as convenience stores both corporate and locally owned.

The Federal Way Farmers Market is set up every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in May through October.

An Abundance of Wildlife and Fauna

The Mirror Lake area features several parks including the French Lake Off-Leash Dog Park, and the BPA Trail for walkers, runners, and cyclists.

The Dash Point State Park is less than a mile from the Mirror Lake Area. The park boasts over 400 acres for swimming, camping, hiking, biking, and fishing.

Commencement Bay and the surrounding waters are home to broodstock trout, squid, chinook salmon, pink salmon, coastal cutthroat, flatfish. Mussels, clams, and oysters can also be harvested in the Dash Point area from September 30 to May 31.

The Mirror Lake area is less than four miles from the Pacific Bonsai Museum and the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden. The Pacific Bonsai Museum features the most diverse public collection of bonsai, with over 150 trees from Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden houses the world’s largest display of rhododendrons in a public garden, with plants sourced from every native continent.

The Mirror Lake area is home to the local Centerstage community theater, featuring musical and dramatic performances by local thespians.

Trampoline Nation and Pattinson’s West Family Skate Center offer active fun for the whole family at an attractive price.

The Mirror Lake area is just under five miles from Wild Waves Theme & Water Park. The park features dozens of attractions such as thrill rides, roller coasters, water slides, and a 500,000-gallon wave pool.

The Slide N’ Splash Mini Waterpark is less than four miles from the Mirror Lake area. Its indoor space with two water slides, a pool, and a hot tub can be reserved for those looking to cool off without the crowd.
