Mason Lake is the largest and deepest natural freshwater lake in Washington state’s Olympic Peninsula tourism region. The lake is located just under an hour and a half from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and within 12 miles from Mason General Hospital.

The Salmon Highway

Mason Lake is open to fishing, boating, and kayaking year-round. The lake’s steep, rocky shoreline is a favorite fishing spot for anglers looking to land largemouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass, and cutthroat trout. Coho salmon also swim through the lake on the way to their spawning grounds during the fall season.

Other Attractions

The Mason Lake area features five golf courses with majestic views of the lakes. The surrounding communities boast extensive roads and walking trails for those looking to get around by bike or on foot. Over 100 miles of cross-country paths can be accessed in the surrounding woods.

Mason Lake is less than 16 miles from The Ridge Motorsports Park. This 2.47 mile, full-road course with 16 turns can be booked in advance for drivers and motorcyclists with the need for speed. A smaller, scaled go-kart track is also available to those age 15 and up.
