Loers Pond is located in Oak Harbor, a small but charming waterside town on Whidbey Island. The community includes restaurants, shops, grocery outlets, schools, and parks along with Oak Tree Medical Center.

The Skagit Regional Airport is approximately 25 miles away. The drive to Seattle is approximately 90 miles.

Golfing, Beaching, and More

Loers Pond is part of Whidbey Golf Club, a high-quality course that has been around since 1961. Its tree-lined greenways, water features, and floral accents make it a beautiful scene.

It also includes a driving range and restaurant. It hosts many golf events throughout the year but it can also be rented out for weddings and other personal events.

Fort Nugent Park, across from the course, features multiple sports fields, walking trails, and an impressive playground. Windjammer Park is home to the island’s most popular beach.

Dugualla State Park features several wide trails that wind through rich, mature forests. The beach trail ends on the island’s eastern coast.

On the Way to Seattle

The Skagit Tulip Farm features row after row of flowers. When it is blooming season its fields are a rainbow of colors. Visit the farm to pick tulips by the bundle.

The Tulalip Casino and Quil Creek Casino are located off of I-5 before you reach Seattle.

In Seattle, there is a wealth of restaurants, bars, shopping malls, and coffee shops in addition to famous attractions like the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the Seattle Great Wheel.
