Kachess is a prime location for fishing, swimming, boating, paddling, and mountain biking in summer and early fall. Anglers enjoy fishing for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and kokanee salmon from boat or shoreline.

You can spend time hiking, camping, birding, and picnicking amongst the towering mountain peaks in the surrounding forest area.

Kachess Lake Campground offers 150 sites that can be used for both tent and RV camping. These sites are equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, and vault toilets. There is a boat launch, swimming area, and picnic areas for visitors to enjoy in addition to the campground facilities.
