Josephine Lake

Located on Anderson Island, Washington

Josephine Lake is a beautifully serene lake located 5.2 miles south of Stevens Pass on the Pacific Crest Trail. It is 22 acres in size and is a popular hiking destination. Josephine Lake sits right by the eastern shore of Anderson Island so that residents can enjoy lake and ocean recreation. Right above the lake's northern tip sits a neighboring lake, Florence Lake.

If you wish to travel by car from Anderson Island, a ferry can carry you to Washington's main shore.

On the Lake

Surrounding the shore of this picturesque lake are several businesses. The Riviera Community Club is sure to be a big hit with golf lovers. The club features a 9-hole golf course, a lakeshore restaurant, and a marina.

Anderson Island provides plenty of opportunities for hiking, camping, boating, biking, fishing, and more. The island's parks, greenways, beaches, and freshwater lakes are home to various wildlife, including black-tailed deer and majestic bald eagles.

Anglers enjoy casting in their lines for rainbow trout stocked annually in both Josephine Lake and Pine Lake. Josephine Lake is a quiet lake, so it is best suited for canoes, kayaks, and boats with small electric motors.
