Haven Lake

40 Miles from Seattle, Washington

Haven Lake is in Mason County, Washington approximately six miles northwest of the city of Belfair. The lake covers 69 surface acres, reaches depths of about 31 feet, and lies at 366 feet of elevation.

Haven Lake is in a prime location due to its proximity to Seattle, only 40 miles away, and famous national parks.

Lake Recreation

Ski boats and speed boats are allowed on Haven Lake, but there are regulations to maintain the lake’s peaceful atmosphere. Be sure to research these if you are looking to move your boat to this lake!

Fishing is a popular activity on the lake. Fish species in this clear water lake include rainbow and cutthroat trout and largemouth bass. All species reach very impressive sizes.

Hiking and Camping Nearby

Haven Lake is only a few miles east of Olympic National Park & Forest, encompassing nearly a million acres. The park protects a vast wilderness, thousands of years of human history, and several distinctly different ecosystems. You can explore over 70 miles of wild coastline, glacier-capped mountains, and old-growth rainforests. Boating, fishing, tide pooling, camping, hiking, backpacking, wildlife viewing, winter activities, and night sky programs are all enjoyed in the park.

Mt. Rainier National Park is also reasonably close to the southeast.
