Washington
The Devils Lake real estate market is a beautiful, but less active, marketplace for lake property in Washington.
Normally there are very few lake homes for sale at Devils Lake, and very few listings for lots and land.
Devils Lake is one of the many smaller Washington lakes.
Devils Lake is a small lake located in the northwestern portion of Washington. The lake is just under an hour away from Seattle. It is just over an hour away from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
The lake is within driving distance of the Snoqualmie River, which provides guests of Devils Lake with various things to do. It is also within a longer driving distance to two vast lakes outside of Seattle: Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish.
The areas and venues surrounding Devils Lake are what makes this lake special. In every direction, there is something to do or somewhere to go.
Devils Lake is in a prime spot for those who wish to stay active physically and socially. There are significant parks, courses, and other venues that are within driving distance of the lake.
To the southwest of the lake is a popular attraction: Paradise Valley Conservation Area. This venue offers a variety of outdoor activities to its guests.
There are multiple miles of trails that encompass the perimeter and the inside of the park. Some of the popular trails include the Mainline Trail, the Whispering Firs trail, and the Wetland Plateau trail. These trails are available for hiking, mountain biking as well as equestrian use. Residents can also bring their dogs along for a walk!
To the east of Devils Lake is Crescent Lake, providing water access and outdoor fun to its residents and visitors. Much like the conservation area, this lake offers nature trails to walk as well. Boat access is available on both sides of Crescent Lake, while rowboats are available for rental. Access to the water from the beaches and shores are also present.
Those interested in getting away from Devils Lake for a day or more can camp in the nearby Fairholme Campground, comprising over 80 campsites. Lake Crescent also provides lodging with the Lake Crescent Lodge and the Log Cabin Resort, both available for use.
Devils Lake may not look like much initially, but this small lake's potential cannot be underestimated. Its location outside of Seattle, and in the middle of major attractions, makes this lake a great spot for people of all ages looking for entertainment and natural beauty.
