Washington
Located in Washington, Curlew Lake real estate is a beautiful, but less active, market in the state for lake homes and lake lots.
On average, there are very few lake homes for sale on Curlew Lake, and very few lake lots and land parcels.
Curlew Lake, located just outside Curlew, is a larger lake that offers lakefront homes and lake access homes on three of the four sides. The lake itself is 921 acres.
The lake is in the far northern portion of Washington, close to the Canadian border. Curlew Lake sits in between two large rivers: the Columbia River and the Kettle River. Though the lake itself is large, the towns around the lake are small. This lake is in the Curlew Valley, near nature and away from the big city, looking for seclusion and privacy.
The lake's main attraction is the Curlew Lake State Park, located on the southeastern side of the lake. The park and lake are known for their excellent fishing. Trout, yellow perch, bass, and muskie all can be caught on the lake.
Summer sports on the water are popular during the warmer months, and winter sports on the snow and ice are popular during the colder months.
The park itself is 87 acres of the campground with multiple camping sites. The park is near the town of Republic. One of the main attractions of the city of Republic is visiting the Stone Rose fossil digging site. This site is popular among guests of all ages.
The Columbia River separates Curlew Lake from the Colville National Forest. The forest is over 1.1 million acres.
There are ample benefits for guests staying on or near Curlew Lake. The large lake provides fishing and water access, while the surrounding area offers outdoor activities and nature's beauty.
The lake is off the beaten path, around 25 miles from the Canadian border, but is worth the effort to get there.
