Cle Elum Lake is the easternmost lake of a trio of large lakes located in a series of mountains known as the Cascade Range. The lakes lie to the southeast of Seattle and are separated by a large number of mountains.

The lake is nearby the Teanaway Community Forest. The two lakes two the west of Cle Elum Lake are Kachess Lake and Keechelus Lake. The three nearest towns are Lakedale, Ronald, and Roslyn.

Popular Lake with Lots of Activities

Cle Elum Lake gained widespread popularity when it was featured on the television show, “Northern Exposure.” With this popularity comes plenty of activities in the surrounding area, including parks, campgrounds, and lodges.

To the east and south of the lake is a multitude of lodges for guests to stay. These lodges are a short drive to and from the lake, providing access to all of the lake’s activities and amenities.

To the north of the lake are multiple campgrounds and parks. These sites offer camping and nature viewing.
