About Carp Lake

Great Surroundings

Carp Lake is a smaller lake in Pierce County, Washington. In every direction, there are bodies of water equal to or larger than the lake. To the north are a few lake visitors: the much larger Steilacoom Lake, Lake Louise, and Waughop Lake.

To the south are two large lakes: American Lake and Gravelly Lake. Carp Lake is east of the border of two large bodies of water: Nisqually Reach and Carr Inlet.

What to Do

Carp Lake’s main advantage is its close location to other lakes and water bodies, providing plenty of watersports and other outdoor activities for its visitors.

Some lakes around Carp Lake have more to do than others, namely American Lake. On American Lake, residents and guests can rent kayaks and jet skis and get out on the water with their boats. American Lake is the largest natural lake in Pierce County.

Fishing is also available on American Lake. However, there is no access to shoreline fishing; individuals must be on the water. On the northern side of the lake, closest to Carp Lake is the American Lake Park. This park offers a variety of services to its guests.

The backdrop of the lake and the park features forest, coastline, and mountains. There is a swimming beach, a picnic area, a children’s playground, and a boat launch. Half-day and full-day rentals are available for the picnic area.

Benefits of Location

Carp Lake may be small, but its location to other lakes, bodies of water, restaurants, parks, and other venues make it a prime spot for active residents and guests.

Carp lake offers multiple homes with lake access.
