Banks Lake, sitting in beautiful Washington state, is under 20 minutes away from both Coulee City and Electric City, and about three and a half hours from Seattle.

It is also located 15 minutes from Grand Coulee Airport and just over an hour away from Columbia Basin Hospital, with grocery stores less than 20 minutes away.

The Perfect Size

This reservoir is 27 miles in length with 42 square miles of water. It has a shore length of 135 miles and an average depth of 46 feet.

Fishing Opportunities

With fish cleaning stations spread throughout the reservoir, Banks Lake is an ideal fishing spot for any angler.

The lake features species such as smallmouth bass and walleye. Lake whitefish, panfish, and rainbow trout, and kokanee are also very popular catches. The lake often freezes over which appeals to the ice fisherman in us all.

Exploring Nature

After a great day on the lake, many residents find themselves taking the 15-mile drive to Coulee City Dam to enjoy the laser show, "One River, Many Voices."

Residents on the lake also find themselves only six minutes away from Steamboat Rock National Park. The park offers hiking, biking trails, horse trails, and multiple watercraft launch ports. There are over 13 miles of hiking and biking trails with 10 miles of horseback riding trails. Rock climbing is incredibly popular and bald eagle viewing is also available.
