Ames Lake offers its residents and visitors the experience to be secluded near the water while still having access to various other locations. Ames Lake is located just east of Seattle in King County. The two nearest cities are Carnation to the east and Sammamish to the west.

Water Access

Houses surrounding Ames Lake have access to multiple bodies of water. There are lakes nearby much larger than Ames, such as Lake Sammamish. There are also lakes the same size, such as Lake Marcel and Lake Langlois.

Ames Lake also has access to multiple rivers such as the Tolt River and the Snoqualmie River.

Lovers of the outdoors have the luxury of a variety of options nearby Ames Lake. Just to the east of the lake is the Tolt River-John MacDonald Park, located on two rivers. Another park nearby to the south is the Soaring Eagle National Park.

Those who want some exercise while enjoying the outdoors can make their way to the Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park for an intense workout. The Snoqualmie Valley Trail also offers cycling and hiking.

Golfers can get their fix at the nearby Blue Heron Golf Course, located on the Snoqualmie River.
