About Lake Heritage

Caroline County, Virginia

Lake Heritage is in Ruther Glen, Virginia, under 45 miles from Richmond.

The Richmond International Airport is around 50 miles away, and the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is under 25 miles away.

Groceries and snacks can be found at several stores and markets within 20 miles. Locals recommend restaurants such as Timbers Restaurant, Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, Celestino Restaurant, and Mi Jalisco Mexican Restaurant.

Fun on the Water

Lake Heritage is part of the Lake Land'Or gated community, which features 16 lakes and ponds. As the second-largest lake in the community, it offers its residents privacy and plenty of lake fun.

This lake is on the Heritage "side" of the community, including a clubhouse, a pavilion, a pool, a beach area, and other smaller lakes and ponds.

Because it is so shallow in most areas, only electric motorboats are allowed in addition to kayaks and canoes. Residents can also toss out a line or relax on the shoreline. Many homes have gorgeous lake views, perfect for entertaining or observing nature.

Local Entertainment

The top nearby attraction is Meadow Event Park. This park hosts a variety of activities throughout the year, including the Virginia State Fair, which hosts 230,000 attendees. Explore Richmond

The nearby city of Richmond is teeming with historical sites. Monument Avenue and the White House of the Confederacy provide historical information concerning the early days of the United States.

The top Richmond attraction is Maymont, a 100-acre estate featuring a Japanese garden, petting zoo, carriages, and the Dooley Mansion is available for tour.

Carytown, a popular city district, is home to unique shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The historic Byrd Theater, which was built in 1928, is celebrating over 90 years of service.

The Virginia Museum of Art has free admission and features pieces whose creation dates back to 5,000 years.
