Lake Hortonia

Rutland County, Vermont

Located in western Vermont is Lake Hortonia. This lake is 55 miles away from Burlington International Airport, and 25 miles away from Rutland Regional Medical Center. Residents can shop at Rutland Plaza or Green Mountain Shopping Plaza, and grab a bite to eat at Southside Steakhouse or Vermont Taphouse.

Lake Hortonia has a reputation as an excellent place to go fishing! Common species of fish in this lake are black crappie, largemouth bass, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch.

Visit Montpelier

Next, visit the University of Vermont, featuring historic buildings, a museum, and a coffee shop. A great place to take a stroll and explore.
