Sadawga Lake is a 200-acre lake located in the town of Whittingham, Vermont. It is about 20 minutes from Wilmington.
Wilmington is a great rest stop with plenty of amenities. It has restaurants such as La Casita, the Maple Leaf Tavern, and the Village Roost. Wilmington also has a grocery store, a pharmacy, and a gas station.
The nearest airport, Albany International, is located around an hour and a half west in Albany, New York. The nearest hospital, North Adams Regional, is around 30 minutes south in North Adams, Massachusetts.
Anglers should look out for largemouth bass, yellow perch, and panfish, among a couple of other known species in the lake. There is an earthen spot on the north part of the lake’s shoreline to launch your small boat, kayak, or canoe from.
Sadawga Lake is near other lakes, like Lake Clara, Harriman Reservoir, and Laurel Lake, so there are endless opportunities for fishing.
For those who love maple syrup and a little bit of New England history, near the lake is the Corse Maple Farm which sells syrup, candy, and cream.
About 30 minutes north is the Mt. Snow Ski Resort. Here, visitors can try their luck at cross country skiing, take snowboarding classes, or enjoy some fine dining.
Surrounding Sadawga Lake are many parks and preserves, like Atherton State Wildlife Management Area, the Ledges, and Wilmington School Forest.
