1,470 Acres of Cool, Clear Water

Built in 1959, Lake Nocona was formed by a dam on Farmer's Creek, just nine miles northeast of Nocona. It was originally constructed for municipal, industrial, and mining purposes for the north Texas region.

Today, the 1,470 acre lake is managed by the North Montague County Water Supply District and is used primarily for recreational purposes.
