Big Oak Lake is surrounded by so many tall trees and waving grass that it makes you feel as though you are in your own little paradise. Perfect for swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. Boating is allowed, which is a great way to get from one side of the lake to the other in just a few minutes. It would not be Tennessee without amazing fishing. Common Fish caught in Big Oak Lake include Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, Crappie, and Sunfish. The best catches have been reported around times of 6 am and 5 pm.

When you are only 35 minutes from the music capital you are destined to find some great things to do. Tristar Spring Hill ER is 15 minutes from Big Oak Lake and is open 24 hours a day. Nashville International Airport is 45 minutes from the lake and offers both domestic and international flights. While you wait for your plane there is almost always a live show to watch.
