Whitewater Lake

Location and Access

Whitewater Lake is an approximately 50-acre private reservoir in Salem, South Carolina. It is located north of SC 11, southwest of Lake Jocassee, and southeast of the Piedmont Forestry Center, which borders the Sumter National Forest.

On and Around the Water

There are many recreational activities to partake in on and around Whitewater Lake. Swimming and boating are most common, but there is also access to a community dock and boat ramp for the lake residents.

This man-made reservoir is stocked with a variety of fish species and is known to be a great location for anglers to enjoy. The most popular types of fish found here are bass, carp, catfish, crappie, and sunfish.

Hospital and Airport

Located about half an hour south of the lake is the Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital, and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is located an hour and 20 minutes away.
