Canadohta Lake is located in northwest Pennsylvania, in the heart of Crawford County. This lake is privately owned, where only residents have exclusive access to the lake area.

The Titusville Area Hospital is located about 25 minutes south of the lake. The closest airport to the area is Erie International, located just under an hour north in Eerie, Pennsylvania.

A Quiet Lake

Canadohta Lake allows motorboats, but nothing over 10 horsepower will be permitted on the water. Canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding are also popular activities to enjoy on the lake.

There are excellent fishing opportunities here as well. Fishermen can expect to catch bluegill, perch, sunfish, northern pike, muskellunge, walleye, largemouth, and smallmouth bass.

Eerie is one of the most sought-after places in the United States for yellow perch and walleye fishing! You can find these in the warmer waters as well as bullhead, catfish, sheepshead, carp, along with lake sturgeon, round goby, and rudd. In the colder waters, expect to find different kinds of trout and salmon.

Canadohta is only a two-hour drive from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The City of Bridges has a lot to offer visitors. The top attraction here is the Duquesne Incline. An ode to Pittsburgh's Industrial Age, before cars, inclines were the best way to traverse up and down mountains.
