Duck Harbor Pond has a reputation in Pennsylvania for containing an abundance of different fish. The trout population is so plentiful that anglers are allowed fish for them year-round.

Other species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, brown trout, bluegill, yellow perch, and pumpkinseed sunfish.

In the winter months, the lake freezes over, and ice-fishermen take to the lake in search of duck and perch. The temperature can freeze up to two feet of the water's surface.

Duck Harbor Pond is conveniently located only two miles from State Game Land 159. In addition to this area, Game Land 70, 236, and 300 are all a short drive from the waterfront.

With the proper permits, hunters of all skill levels enjoy the abundance of woodland life within this area. Popular species include deer, pheasants, quail, and wild turkeys, to name a few.
