Curtis Reservoir - Jefferson Twp

Located in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania

Curtis Reservoir is a 68-acre lake north of Aberdeen, Pennsylvania. On the south side of the lake is a beautiful dam and waterfall. It is around two and half hours northwest of New York, New York.

The lake is 16 minutes east of the Geisinger Community Medical Center and 24 minutes northeast of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport.

Fun on the Water

Anglers casting out a line on the lake can expect to catch largemouth bass, black crappie, and chain pickerel.

Because of the elongated shape of the lake, Curtis Reservoir makes for an excellent morning or dusk kayak outing.

The town of Moscow is the nearest place to grab a bite to eat. Restaurants here include Ferri's Pizza, Leonor’s Eatery & Crazy Fruits, and Delish on Main.

Less than 20 minutes from the lake is Claws ‘N’ Paws Wild Animal Park. Come see their petting zoo, an area to pet and take pictures with African tortoises, and giraffe feedings with Jethro the Giraffe.

Pennsylvania State Game Lands surround this lake. Managed by the state, these plots of land are a dedicated space for legal hunting and trapping. During off-seasons, they also double as beautiful tracts of land to hike!
