Charnita Lake lies in Carroll Valley, a borough of Pennsylvania located just north of the Maryland border.

Gettysburg is just 10 miles northeast of the borough, providing restaurants, shops, WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, Gettysburg College, and Gettysburg Regional Airport.

The Baltimore/Washington International Airport is approximately an hour’s drive away.

Charnita Lake spans eight acres with smooth, glistening waters. The lake holds a variety of fish, with largemouth bass and bluegill being the most popular catches.

The surrounding foliage is beautiful at all times of the year, but especially during fall. It is a scene to be enjoyed while sipping coffee, flipping burgers, or chatting with friends.

Local Golfing and Winter Sports

The nearby Liberty Mountain Resort is a year-round recreation area. Its 18-hole golf course set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a prime golfing location.

Liberty Mountain features multiple ski trails, ranging from extremely difficult to easy. The resort features some of the best snowmaking machines in the industry.

Gettysburg boasts many restaurants, bars, and pubs with outstanding dishes and beverages.
