Lake Toxaway is North Carolina’s largest private lake, sitting on 640 acres with 14 miles of shoreline. It is located in Transylvania County in the Blue Ridge Mountain portion of North Carolina. It is just 50 miles away from Asheville.

Lake Toxaway invites its residents to swim, boat, ski, and sail on its waters. It’s a great place to relax with its stunning Blue Ridge Mountain backdrop. Members of this community can also take their electric motor boats and sailboats on the water. There is a marina to rent and launch boats from, or residents can launch from their private dock.

Residents can also enjoy fishing on the lake. Anglers can use single hooks to catch rainbow trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bluegill, and walleye. The lake is fed by over 100 streams and managed by wildlife biologists to ensure premium quality fish are always in the water. Limitations on wakes ensure that the water is always still so you will always have a peaceful fishing experience.
