Tuscarora Lake, also known as the Erieville Reservoir, is located in Nelson, New York, just north of the small township of Erieville.

The Oneida Health Hospital is located north of the lake, a little over half an hour away, and the Community Memorial Hospital is southeast of the lake around 20 minutes away. Additionally, the Syracuse Hancock International Airport is within an hour of the lake.

Hungry Tuscarora Lake residents can fill their stomachs at the Blue Canoe Grill, a highly rated lake-side American restaurant that serves burgers, fried shrimp, steak, and pie.

Fishing and Boating

Anglers on Tuscarora Lake can expect to reel in largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, chain pickerel, black crappie, pumpkinseed sunfish, bluegill, rock bass, yellow perch, white sucker, and brown bullhead.

There are no formal access sites at the lake, but there are places to hand launch kayaks and canoes.

The lake often freezes over in the winter and is a popular spot for ice fishing.

Eaton Reservoir

Eaton Reservoir is a meager three miles from Tuscarora Lake. This 272-acre Y-shaped reservoir has a variety of activities that visitors can embark on.

Boating is allowed here for fishing, and the public boat launch is located on the east side of the lake.

The most commonly caught fish species here are largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, brown trout, rainbow trout, chain pickerel, pumpkinseed sunfish, bluegill, rock bass, yellow perch, white sucker, golden shiner, and brown bullhead.

Morrisville Community Club

The Morrisville Community Club is on the northeast side of Eaton Reservoir and has been there for over a century. Membership will welcome new friendships and waterfront amenities. Some include swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing.
