Red Lake covers 366 acres and has a maximum depth of 47 feet and a mean depth of 27 feet.

There is plenty of fish to catch on the lake. The species present in the lake are northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, yellow perch, black crappie, bluegill, and brown bullhead. In addition to fishing, there is a state-owned beach on Red Lake Road.
