Payne Lake

Located in Jefferson County, New York

Payne Lake is located in the Village of Antwerp, and it stretches over 159 acres. It has 2.9 miles of shoreline, while it has a maximum depth of only 15 feet. Most areas only go down 6.6 feet. It also has an outlet to the Oswegatchie River.

Life on the Water

Payne Lake has a scarce residence, which makes it a peaceful paradise. It has one very well-kept boat launch for anglers with paddling boats or low-motor boats.

Being bordered by the Pulpit Rock State Forest, the lake is environmentally protected, making the wildlife vast! Anglers can find northern pike, largemouth bass, muskellunge, crappie, perch, and more.
