Muskellunge Lake

Located in Jefferson County, New York

Muskellunge Lake is situated in Theresa, New York, and covers 275 acres. It has an average depth of 15 feet but reaches 25 feet at its maximum. It is an outlet of Indian Bay, and although it has no public access on its shores, it can be accessed through its neighboring waterways, Indian Bay and Oscars Bay.

Life on the Water

The name hints at the fishing available at Muskellunge Lake; however, the muskellunge fish don’t seem to be around anymore. No need to worry, as the lake has bass, bluegill, walleye, northern pike, crappie, and catfish for you anglers!

There is a beach launch on the Indian River that would allow canoes and kayaks to paddle over to Muskellunge lake.
