Also known as Stony Creek Reservoir, Colonie Reservoir lies in 1,000 acres of untouched land in Clifton Park, New York. Though the reservoir is located in Clifton Park, it is owned by the city of Colonie. The lake has historically served as a backup source of drinking water.
