One of the Finger Lakes

Keuka Lake is the third largest of the famous Finger Lakes in the state of New York. What makes this lake unusual compared to its favorite neighbors is its unusual Y-shape. It has been said that Crooked Lake is named after the Seneca word meaning "lake with an elbow."

Keuka Lake is no small body of water with 11,730 acres and 60 miles of shoreline. Like the other Finger Lakes, it is only a few miles south of Lake Ontario.

Surrounded by rolling, vineyard-covered hills, the shores of Keuka Lake provide the perfect place to relax and recharge. Residents and visitors can choose to relax on the shores or go out in a boat, fish, kayak, canoe, sail, and more.

Hike in the Sugar Hill State Forest sits just a few minutes from Keuka Lake's southern tip. This 9,085-acre woodland area offers camping, hunting/trapping, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, picnicking, and observing the view from the 75-foot tall Sugar Hill Fire Tower.
