Fourth Lake - Luzerne

Location and Access

Fourth Lake is a beautiful 49-acre lake located in Warren County in Lake Luzerne, New York. The lake is only accessible through the campgrounds when in season, and no motorboats are allowed.

Fishing Opportunities

There are great fishing opportunities here! The most common species of fish caught in Fourth Lake are largemouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, pumpkinseed, bluegill, rock bass, and brown bullhead.

Around Fourth Lake

Adirondack Adventure Center has something to keep the whole family entertained such as tubing, whitewater rafting, treetop activities, and a zipline.

Luzerne State Campground partially surrounds Fourth Lake, adding to the fun activities on and around the lake. There is a special camping area for equestrians with horse barns, separate corrals with water, and picnic tables. Activities include horseback riding, boating, fishing, hiking, and picnicking.

Hospital and Airport

Located 20 minutes southeast of Fourth Lake Glens Falls Hospital and an hour and 15 minutes south of Fourth Lake is the Albany International Airport.

City of Albany

The capital of New York has an abundance of fun things to do and see around an hour and a half away. Here, visitors can enjoy a fantastic shopping and dining scene, arts and entertainment buildings, museums and tours, and outdoor adventures.

The top-rated attraction here is the New York State Museum. This museum has a variety of different exhibits and has free admission.

Those with an interest in naval history should go on a tour at the USS Slater DE-776. This restored destroyer gives visitors unique insights as to what it was like to be a sailor back in the day.

Hamilton fans should be interested in the nearby Schuyler Mansion, home to Colonel Schuyler and his daughters Peggy, Angelica, and Eliza.
