Upper Suncook Lake covers 402 acres and has more depth than its neighbor, Lower Suncook Lake. Together, they encompass approximately 700 acres. The lakes are connected by a 1,0000-foot channel that is passable by most watercraft.

Located on the Suncook River, a dam on the lower lake's outlet controls the water levels of both lakes.
