Little Squam Lake

Little Squam Lake is a beautiful body of water off of the much larger Squam Lake in Holderness and Ashland, New Hampshire. For a big-city trip, Concord is under 50 miles away.

Plymouth is six miles away, where you can find Walmart Supercenter, Speare Memorial Hospital, Rite Aid, Dollar General, and more. Big-city establishments like the Manchester-Boston Airport and Elliot Hospital are just 80 miles away.

On the Water Fun

Little Squam Lake stretches two miles to cover a total of 408 acres. It has five miles of shoreline and an average depth of 30 feet. Little Squam Lake and Squam Lake are managed by a dam one mile down the Squam River.

Little Squam Lake connects directly to the big lake, so you can stay in your peaceful confinement or go on to explore the bigger waters. The lakes share the Squam Lake Public Boat Launch, an easily-accessible facility with boat launches and plenty of parking.

Boating, water skiing, swimming, jet skiing, tubing, paddleboarding, kayaking, or canoeing are some of the fun activities happening on the lake.

The Squam Lake Camp Resort is a delightful campground of park model trailers that includes a lodge with indoor and outdoor pools.

Experience unique interactive animal exhibits featuring black bears, mountain lions, raptors, otters, bobcats, and more along a two-hour trail at Squam Lake Wildlife Center.

The West Rattlesnake Mountain on Squam Lake has a 30-minute hiking trail to its summit that overlooks the gorgeous lake. It is a beautiful destination for birdwatching, leafing, or merely walking among the New Hampshire wilderness.

The nearby White Mountain Country Club is home to an 18-hole championship golf course with a full-service lounge and grille that provides on-course beverage services.

Concord, the capital city of New Hampshire, has lots to offer residents of Little Squam Lake.

The top attraction is the independently owned Red River Theatre. This theatre offers screenings of independent films as well as classic movies.
