Lake Francis is a beautiful lake in Pittsburg and Clarksville, New Hampshire, not far from the Canada border. Concord and Burlington, Vermont are under 155 miles away.

The Northeast Kingdom International Airport is under 100 miles away, and the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital is under 25 miles away.

Fun for Everyone

Lake Francis spans nearly 2,000 acres, offering plenty of space to enjoy recreational activities.

Popular activities in the area are boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and relaxing on the shore. Anglers looking to toss out a line will find rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, landlocked salmon, chain pickerel, burbot, and rainbow smelt.

There are two public boat launch locations, and ice fishing is permitted from January through March.

Lake Francis State Park offers boat rentals, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, OHRV riding, and many more activities.

Visit Concord

Concord, the capital city of New Hampshire, has lots to offer residents of Lake Francis.

The top attraction is the independently owned Red River Theatre. This theatre offers screenings of independent films as well as classic movies.

Those more interested in live performances should head to Capitol Center for the Arts. There they will find ballet, country, rock, and Broadway performances.

Another attraction is the Mcauliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, named after Christina Mcauliffe and Alan Shepard. This museum features interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a planetarium.
