Turtle River Lake

Turtle River Lake is relatively large for the area, sitting at 1,740 acres in size, and with a maximum depth of 63 feet. The lake is well-regarded among locals for its excellent fishing conditions, and its wide variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Whether you’re an expert angler or a novice netter, your experience on Turtle River Lake is sure to be incredible.

If you and your guests get tired of fishing, there are several other activities on the lake to pursue. Boating is excellent in the summer months, with kayaking, in particular, serving as the perfect way to get great views of the beautiful shoreline. Swimming is great as well. Beltrami County History Center is an incredible view into the fascinating history of the region and surrounding areas, with particular focus paid to the history of the railroad.
