Silver Lake is a 50-acre impoundment of the Zumbro River located in Rochester, Minnesota. It is 87 miles south of Minneapolis, roughly 50 miles north of the Iowa/Minnesota border, and 38 miles west of the Minnesota/Wisconsin border.

The closest location for emergency care is the Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus, two miles away. The Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport is 78 miles north.

Silver Lake is located in a city park of the same name. It is a fantastic place to access lakeside amenities in the city of Rochester. Here you'll find a two-mile walking trail, a skate park, a playground, and an outdoor pool.
