Red Sand Lake - First Assessment

Red Sand Lake is a large lake in northern Minnesota, between the cities of Brainerd and First Assessment. Red Sand Lake is a decent distance from the big cities of Duluth (121 miles) and Minneapolis (129 miles).

Residents on the lake enjoy quick access to healthcare with the Essential Health Saint Josephs Medical Center just 6.2 miles away. When traveling, most residents use the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport 10 miles away, but for international travel, the Minneapolis Saint Paul International Airport is 141 miles.

Red Sand Lake spans 521 acres reaching depths of 23 feet with a 5-mile shoreline. The lake has plenty of room for recreational activities! Residents on the lake enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, and lounging on the water.
