Sauk Centre is minutes away from shops, restaurants, or the Sauk Centre Hospital. Alexandria offers fine dining, shopping outlets, and a great list of attractions. St. Cloud is just as promising, where you will also enjoy sights of the Mississippi River and have access to the Regional Airport.

Quiet Waters

With few residences on Pauley Lake, you will often have the water all to yourself. Paddle the waters in a kayak or canoe or set out in a boat for a day full of fishing.

A variety of fish populate the lake, but walleye and largemouth bass are the most promising catches.

Fun Activities

The Elgin Woods Woods Wildlife Management Area, just west of the lake, is excellent for hiking, birdwatching, or sightseeing.

The Lake Wobegon Trail begins in Sauk Centre and continues for 62 miles across towns, farms, lakes, and a charming covered bridge. At a great length, the paved trail is mostly used by bikers, but people walk the path as well.

Sauk Lake also offers a playground, splash park, public fishing piers, a boat ramp, and a lakeside walking trail.

Golfers will enjoy having the Old Course Sauk Centre nearby. It began over 100 years ago as a six-hole course and has grown into an 18-hole golf course with a clubhouse, golf shop, and more.
