Sandy River Lake is located in Workman Township, Minnesota. Grand Rapids is 51 miles north and Duluth is 70 miles east. There are a few smaller airfields nearby, but the closest major airport is Duluth International Airport, which is typically just under an hour and a half away. Anglers wanting to toss out a line have a chance to reel in northern pike, yellow perch, and brook trout.
